A system for the treatment of urge incontinence by electrical stimulat ion of pudendal nerve afferents (108; 110) of a living being (102), includes an implantable electrode (116) configured to be placed at a pudendal nerve or its branches, and an implantable pulse generator (118) having a pulse-generating circuitry for providing electrical pulses to the electrode (116) in order to achieve the electric al stimulation. An implantable user-operable triggering mechanism (140) is configured to transmit a control signal to the pulse generator (118) in order to trigger a sequence of the el ectrical pulses in resp onse to a mechanical impact to an outer surface portion of the user's body, such as a pressure, force or acceleration.
