Provided is a method for providing an earthquake detection service, comprising the following steps: receiving and monitoring earthquake data from a meteorological administration server; checking whether the coordinates of an area where an earthquake occurs are located within the coverage of an earthquake detection service providing server from the result of monitoring; extracting at least one registered terminal registered on the earthquake detection service providing server when the coordinates of the area where an earthquake occurs are located within the coverage; and transmitting earthquake notification data to the extracted at least one registered terminal and at least one terminal located within the coverage, wherein the earthquake notification data can include an activation control signal for GPS and an earthquake detection service application. |
