<p>The present invention relates to steel of high strength and high toughness containing phosphorous. In particular, the steel containing phosphorous in a novel concept contradicts the common notion that when phosphorus in large amounts is added to steel, the steel becomes brittle. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the steel containing phosphorous comprises 0.05-0.3 weight% of C, 0.5-3.0 weight% of Mn, 0.05-0.2 weight% of P, 0.1-0.5 weight% of Mo, and the remainder consisting of Fe and inevitable impurities, and may have tissue having an area fraction of bainite that is 80% or more.</p> |
