PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine which can suppress a torque step generated at a change of turbo modes, in an internal combustion engine mounted with a two-stage turbo system.SOLUTION: In a diesel engine 10 which is mounted with the two-stage turbo system in which an LP turbocharger 20 and an HP turbocharger 22 are arranged, and switches a target opening of an ECV 38 to a prescribed middle opening from a full closing when a control mode is transitioned to the turbo mode 2 (middle-load region) from the turbo mode 1 (low-load region), switching timing to switch the target opening to the middle opening from the full closing is predicted on the basis of exhaust pressure p4 and a time differential value dP4/dt of the exhaust pressure p4, and the target opening is corrected so that an exhaust switching valve is gradually opened prior to the predicted switching timing. |
