PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reversely transferring a residual toner on an intermediate transfer body appropriately to an image carrier to recover the residual toner, while suppressing the residual toner to be adhered to a charging member.SOLUTION: A control unit 104 can change a set current from a first set current Ib1 to a second set current Ib2 having a smaller value than that of the first set current Ib1, and controls a potential difference generated between an image carrier 1 and an intermediate transfer body 10 when setting to the second set current Ib2 to be larger than a potential difference generated between the image carrier 1 and the intermediate transfer body 10 when setting to the first set current Ib1. |
