PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of the prior art radio communication unit that causes radio wave interference and its communication performance is deteriorated when an antenna is placed on a base plate and if the antenna is in the vicinity of a ground pattern placed on the base plate.SOLUTION: A radio communication unit 7 comprises: a power supply circuit board 10 (circuit board used for functions other than communication as main applications) with a ground pattern 12; and a radio communication module 20 that includes an antenna part 22 and is built up on the power supply circuit board 10. The distance between the antenna part 22 and the ground pattern 12 is larger than prescribed distance. Also, the antenna part 22 and the ground pattern 12 are made not to face each other.
