<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and a control method for the same, capable of performing a dynamic range control allowing for color component level.SOLUTION: A target dynamic range is determined by the degree of halation over an entire image. If the image includes an area with a deviation in color component level, the target dynamic range is corrected in proportion to the degree of halation within the area, and a dynamic range control is performed on the basis of the target dynamic range corrected. To determine the degree of halation in an area with a deviation in color component level, the degree of halation allowing for color component level is determined, in addition to the luminance of pixels.</p> |
