PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector which can be easily assembled and reduce the height of an overall connector, and a terminal fitting for the electric connector which has high holding force of a mating terminal and superior contact reliability.SOLUTION: An electric connector 100 comprises: a housing 30 having a plurality of terminal holding grooves 32 formed so that terminal fittings 10 may be inserted, and a first engaging part 31 for precluding separation which is locked to a first engaging part 11 of the terminal fittings 10 inserted into each of terminal holding grooves 32; and a rear holder 60 having a second engaging part 62 for precluding separation which is locked to a second engaging part 12 of the terminal fittings 10 integrally provided on the housing 30 via a hinge part 61 and inserted into each of terminal holding grooves 32. A plurality of first uneven fitting mechanisms, second uneven fitting mechanisms and third uneven fitting mechanisms, for bonding the rear holder 60 to the housing 30 when the rear holder 60 rotates around the hinge part 61 and overlaps with an upper surface of the housing 30, are provided thereon. |
