PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locator system, a portable information terminal, and a locator which realize a specific device (the locator) of a small size and low price, the locator being easy to find when its sight is lost, by cooperating with a highly-functional portable information terminal.SOLUTION: The portable information terminal regularly performs an operation of periodically calling the locator and positional information calculation using the GPS and stores self position data in a storage unit. As the portable information terminal records the self position data before and after the losing of the sight is turned out, a map can be displayed on the basis of the self position data, so that the whereabouts of the locator can efficiently be found. |
