PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tungsten halogen lamp that makes it difficult for an initial failure problem, in which the lighting of the bulb fails in a short time, to occur.SOLUTION: A tungsten halogen lamp comprises: a pair or rod-like conductive supports whose lower end parts are embedded in the basal part 11a of a translucent bulb 11; an electrode terminal 13a electrically connected to the lower end part of each support body 12a; a filament 14 stretched between the pair of support bodies; a vibration restriction device 15a supported and fixed by each of the support bodies 12a, extending to both sides of the support body 12a along the circumferential direction of the bulb 11, and configured to restrict vibration of the support body 12 by contact with the inner peripheral surface of the bulb 11; and a pair of projections 16a and 16b projecting inwards, which are formed on the bulb 11 outside both ends of the vibration restriction device 15a, and at positions with spaces left from the corresponding end parts. In the tungsten halogen lamp, the maximum vibration width of the vibration restriction device 15 is limited by the pair of projections 16a and 16b. |
