PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railway vehicle in which during high speed travel thereof, a pressure resistance, which is generated due to turbulence of air passing through a carriage cavity provided in a carriage for supporting the vehicle, can be reduced.SOLUTION: A carriage cavity (17) is composed of a frame (15) forming a floor surface of a railway vehicle, and an end closing plate (56) extending below the frame (15) and forming a front wall and a rear wall in a vehicle longitudinal direction. The carriage cavity (17) is partitioned by a lower closing plate (16) which is connected to a lower end of the closing plate (56) and is provided below the frame (15). An air outlet (10a) is formed near the carriage cavity (17) on the railway vehicle advancement direction upstream side. During running of the railway vehicle, air is jetted from the air outlet (10a), whereby formation of a negative pressure region around the end closing plate (56) on the advancement direction upstream side can be suppressed in the carriage cavity (17) . |
