SILICONE RESIN HARDENED BODY CONTAINING SULFIDE PHOSPHOR PARTICLES WITH COATING FILMS, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone resin hardened body containing sulfide phosphor particles with coating films, which can keep the original light-emitting characteristics of a sulfide phosphor, and can also keep high humidity resistance and waterproofness for a long period of time.SOLUTION: A sulfide phosphor particle with a coating film, obtained by forming a first layer of a coating film of a silane organo-metallic hydrolytic condensate containing a mercapto group and a second layer of a coating film of a silane organo-metallic hydrolytic condensate on the surface of a particle and thereafter treating with heat in the atmosphere, is kneaded into a silicone resin obtained by blending a curing catalyst containing a fatty acid group with a mixture of dimethyl phenyl siloxane and polymethyl hydro siloxane, and having an oxygen transmission rate after curing of not greater than 600 cmcm/m24hr atm and a tensile strength of 1 MPa-10 MPa, and the kneaded product is cured with heat. The obtained silicone resin hardened body containing the sulfide phosphor particles with the coating films is suitable for an LED light-emitting device.
