<p>The invention relates to methods, devices and systems for assessing appendicitis in a subject. More particularly, this invention relates to methods, devices and systems for assessing appendicitis in a subject by evaluating multiple biomarkers in a sample from the subject and comparing the values of the biomarker to a reference value from a group having high or low risk for appendicitis, or combining the values of the biomarkers using a mathematical algorithm to produce a numerical test score, and comparing the test score to a reference value to assess appendicitis in the subject.</p> |
