PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide structure in which energy absorption characteristic of an energy absorbing member can be flexibly tuned.SOLUTION: In a part of an energy absorbing member 13a composed of an approximately L-shaped plate member, an extension part 34 whose length extends by plastic deformation is provided. The extension part 34 is comprised of through-holes 35, 36, 37, notches 38, 38 formed in both width-direction ends, and a plastic deformation part 39 comprised of a plurality of plastic deformation elements 40a, 40b provided in a longitudinally inclined condition. The energy absorbing member 13a is disposed so as to be along an upper face of a bonding plate part 16a of a support bracket 11a and a front face of front and rear side plate part 28. A front end part of the energy absorbing member 13a is fixed to and supported by a part of the front and rear side plate part 28a, and a rear end part of the energy absorbing member is fixed to and supported by a vehicle body. |
