PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet process device capable of performing an efficient sheet process while maintaining a given process capacity, suppressing occurrence of a shifted folding, and reducing a collision noise.SOLUTION: A sheet process device includes: a first sheet transport part for transporting a sheet at a first sheet transport speed; a sheet folding part for applying a folding process to a transported sheet transported by the first sheet transport part from a sheet supply part; a transported-sheet information obtainment part for obtaining transported-sheet information related to a transported sheet introduced to the sheet folding part; a target sheet transport speed setup part for setting a target first sheet transport speed on the basis of the transported-sheet information obtained by the transported-sheet information obtainment part; a sheet trail edge detection part for detecting a trail edge of the transported sheet in a transport direction of the sheet transported by the sheet folding part from the sheet supply part; and a control part for controlling a sheet feed timing for supplying a following sheet, on the basis of the trail edge of the transported sheet in a transport direction of a preceding sheet, the trail edge detected by the sheet trail edge detection part, and performing control so as to transport a sheet at the target first sheet transport speed by using the first sheet transport part. |
