PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a developing device capable of surely removing a liquid developer from a roller surface, after a development process is finished.SOLUTION: When an image is not formed, cleaning liquid supply means supplies a cleaning liquid to a supply roller 42 in a supply position 44P. The supply roller 42 performs a first rotation operation for supplying the cleaning liquid to a nip part N1 by rotating the supply roller 42 in a first rotational direction and a second rotation operation for conveying the cleaning liquid stored in the nip part N1 to the supply position 44P by rotating the supply roller 42 in a second rotational direction opposite to the first rotational direction. The cleaning liquid conveyed to the supply position 44P by the second rotation operation is removed from the surface of the supply roller 42 by supplying a fresh cleaning liquid from the cleaning liquid supply means in the supply position 44P. |
