The present invention relates to a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display apparatus comprising the same, which comprise a polarizer; a first optical film formed on the top of the polarizer; and a second optical film formed on the bottom of the polarizer, wherein more than one of the first optical film and the second optical film contains a polyester film, wherein the polyester film has -0.1 to +0.1% of a difference of a length shrinkage ratio between the length shrinkage ratio of a first diagonal direction of equation 1 and the length shrinkage ratio of a second diagonal direction of equation 2 based on one of a machine direction (MD) or a transverse direction (TD) of the film.
