PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more naturally express an image to be projected onto a specific area to be given to a projected surface.SOLUTION: A projection device comprises: a display system that has a micromirror element 12; a projection system that forms a light image corresponding to an image to be displayed by the display system, and includes a projection lens part 15 for projecting toward a projected surface; an illumination image storage part 24B that stores information on an illumination image; a photographing lens part 17 that acquires a shape of a range where a content image is projected onto the projected surface; a photographing system that includes a CMOS image sensor 18; and a CPU 22 that allocates a first area where the content image is displayed in a displayable area of the mirror element 12 on the basis of an acquired shape, allocates a second area where an illumination image is displayed, including an outside area of the first area, generates a synthesis image on the basis of respectively allocated results and causes the mirror element 12 to display the synthesis image, and causes the synthesis image caused to be displayed to be projected onto the projected surface by the projection system. |
