PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device capable of suppressing entering of external light into a reader.SOLUTION: A maintenance cover 9, which is mounted to an ADF housing 6 in an openable and closable manner, opens an upper reader 48 at an opening position and covers therewith the upper reader 48 at a closing position. Cooperation between first shielding parts 91 and 92 provided at the ADF housing 6 and second shielding parts 93 and 94 provided at the maintenance cover 9 suppresses entering of the external light into the upper reader 48 side from the boundaries 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, and 86 between the ADF housing 6 and the maintenance cover 9 positioned at the closing position. |
