PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information terminal equipment capable of quickly and highly accurately determining whether or not the picture quality of a pickup image is appropriate for executing recognition processing.SOLUTION: An imaging part 10 obtains a pickup image by imaging a bar code or an object similar thereto having a boundary portion deviated in a predetermined direction as an object to be imaged. A detection part 20 calculates a featured value in each direction from the pickup image, and detects a candidate region in which the object to be imaged exists in each direction. An evaluation part 30 determines whether or not satisfying predetermined conditions related to exposure and/or blur and satisfying predetermined conditions about a predetermined featured value related to the success/failure of predetermined recognition processing with respect to the detected candidate regions is established about the candidate region in at least one direction. When the result of determination is positive, it is determined that the picture quality of the pickup image is sufficient for executing the predetermined type recognition processing. |
