PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device capable of easily replacing a waste ink tank.SOLUTION: The ink jet recording device includes: a printer housing 11 having an opening formed upward; a recording unit recording an image on a sheet by discharging ink from a nozzle; a first cover 30 covering a part of the opening of the printer housing 11; a second cover 31 provided detachably from the first cover 30, and covering a region of the opening of the printer housing 11 that is not covered with the first cover 30; a waste ink tank 80 supported detachably by the printer housing 11 at a position opposite to the second cover 31 within the printer housing 11, and storing waste ink discharged from the nozzle; and a scanner housing 12 arranged upward of the printer housing 11, and supported by the first cover 30 to be movable between a proximate position proximate to upper surfaces of the first cover 30 and the second cover 31 and a separate position that is separate from the first cover 30 and at which the second cover 31 is exposed. |
