PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform attachment work of a seal ring to a seal ring attachment groove continuously formed in a circumferential direction on an inner peripheral surface of a housing without the usage of an exclusive tool or device.SOLUTION: A first engagement part 15 is provided at one part in a circumferential direction of a non-sealed part 11 of a seal ring 1, and second engagement parts 16 and 17 engageable/disengageable with/from the first engagement part 15 are provided at the other parts in the circumferential direction of the non-sealed part 11. According to this configuration, the seal ring 1 is kept in the state of being bent and deformed in the non-circular shape by the first engagement part 15 and the second engagement parts 16 and 17 engaged with each other in advance when being attached to a seal ring attachment groove, and can be easily inserted to an inner peripheral surface of a housing, and the seal ring 1 is fitted into the seal ring attachment groove while being restored to the circular shape by its own elasticity by releasing the engagement between the first engagement part 15 and the second engagement parts 16 and 17 after being inserted to the position of the seal ring attachment groove. |
