PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a state determination device for a clutch and a vehicle mass estimation device, which can improve determination accuracy as to whether or not the clutch is in a disengaged state.SOLUTION: An ECU for a brake working as the state determination device for the clutch, when a wheel speed VW is low, sets a determination value &Dgr;TR_th at a larger value than when the wheel speed VW is high (step S15). The ECU for the brake determines that the clutch is in a disengaged state, when the absolute value |&Dgr;TR| of a gear ratio change amount is the determination value &Dgr;TR_th or more (step S16:YES). |
