PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for preventing a damage occurrence by restricting the propriety of on-line connection to a low-order device connected to a controller.SOLUTION: A communication coupler 52 is connected to a CPU unit through a field network 2, and connected to a support device through a general-purpose interface 170. The communication coupler 52 stores connection setting information 103 showing setting of the propriety of connection to the support device via the general-purpose interface 170. When an on-line connection request is received from the support device, the communication coupler 52 refers to the setting of the connection setting information 103, and in the case that connection inhibition is set, that the communication coupler 52 normally operates, and that a slave device does not perform a degeneration operation, the communication coupler 52 determines that on-line connection is impossible, and restricts on-line connection by the support device. |
