PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorber retaining liquid permeability and flexibility even in a swollen state without inhibiting the swelling property of a water absorptive polymer.SOLUTION: An absorber 10 has a structure where a water absorptive polymer 3 is arranged between a first sheet 1 and a second sheet 2. The absorber is such that the first sheet 1 and the second sheet 2 are made of a nonwoven fabric; the first sheet 1 has an irregular shape having a first projection 11 and a second projection 12; the second sheet 2 has an irregular shape having a third projection 23 and a fourth projection 24; the first sheet 1 and the second sheet 2 are arranged by fitting the cycle of each of the irregularities; the third projection is partially joined and fixed by getting into the internal space of the first projection; the second projection gets into the internal space 24K of the fourth projection, leaving part of the internal space; the internal space of the fourth projection is filled with water absorptive polymers, leaving a gap part 5 on the second projection side; and a plurality of aggregates 31 of the filled water absorptive polymers are scattered in points in accordance with the arrangement of the internal space of the fourth projection.
