PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide gel ink compositions covering more of the violet region of the color spectrum.SOLUTION: A violet radiation curable lightfast gel ink includes at least one curable monomer, at least one organic gellant, at least one photoinitiator, and at least one colorant, where the ink exhibits a reflectance on a substrate at a loading of from about 2 mg/inchto about 7 mg/inchthat ranges from 50% to about 60% at a wavelength of 500 nm and that ranges from 0% to about 10% at a wavelength of about 600 nm. The violet ink substantially matches PANTONE(R) Violet. |
