PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently enlarge a receivable area to be indicated by receivable area information.SOLUTION: A digital broadcast receiver 1 to be mounted on a mobile body includes: a tuner part 22 for receiving the broadcast signal of a physical channel; a signal intensity detection unit 23 for detecting the signal intensity of a received broadcast signal; a present position detection unit 31 for detecting the present position of a mobile body; a movement direction detection unit 32 for detecting the movement direction of a mobile body; a channel scan control unit 26 for controlling the tuner part and determining the reception propriety of the physical channel; a broadcast area map storage unit 33 for storing receivable area information indicating the receivable area of the physical channel; and a broadcast area map generation unit 35 for determining a position separated in the movement direction from the present position as a receivable position on the basis of the detected signal intensity when the physical channel is determined to be receivable, and updating receivable area information so as to allow the receivable area indicated by the receivable area information to be enlarged to a receivable position.
