PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an incidence of erroneous theft determination without degrading accuracy of theft detection.SOLUTION: A communication device comprises first monitoring means, second monitoring means, and determination means. When power supply from a fix power source is cut off, the first monitoring means switches a power supply source for a load circuit to a backup battery, and also activates a first alarm signal. The second monitoring means executes a base station search, and when a first base station to which the communication device can register its position does not exist or identification information of the first base station is different from identification information of a second base station to which the communication device registers its position for the first time after installation of the communication device, or when reception field strength of the first base station is different from reception field strength of the second base station, the second monitoring means activates a second alarm signal. The determination means determines that the communication device has been thieved when the first alarm signal and the second alarm signal are activated. |
