PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display element which has an antistatic function and is capable of achieving a frame narrowing structure and to provide a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes panels 1a and 1b provided on the front side and light source parts 11 and 12 provided on the back side. The panel includes a conductive sheet 2 provided on the surface of the panel and a first conductive material 4 provided on the side surface of the panel and coming into contact with the conductive sheet 2. The light source parts 11 and 12 include a metallic frame 21 connected to the earth and the panels 1a and 1b and the metallic frame 21 are connected to each other through a second conductive material 22. The first conductive material 4 is connected to the earth through the second conductive material 22 and the metallic frame 21.
