The safety work bench (1) has a working zone (3), within the housing (2), with a moving front panel (5) to cover wholly the front opening (7). A cleaning opening (10) is formed between the upper edge (11) of the panel and the housing, when moved into the cleaning position manually or by an automatic integrated operating unit. The front panel can be in sections, each moved independently.
