PURPOSE: An endoscope system comprising position detection function and a position detection method of an endoscope using the same are provided to output a position of an endoscope probe on the basis of an output signal of a 3 axis-acceleration sensor installed on the top end part of the endoscope probe. CONSTITUTION: A sensor signal processing device(22) includes a voltage transducer(22a), a first noise filter(22b), a signal amplifier(22c), an offset controller(22d), a second noise filter(22e) and an ADC(Analog to Digital Converter)(22f). The voltage transducer receives a current output signal by sensing a current varying according to acceleration speed variation of a 3 axis from a 3 axis-acceleration sensor, and then converts the current output signal into a voltage output signal. The first noise filter performs first noise filtering of the voltage output signal to reduce distortion on the voltage output signal and then generates a first noise-filtered output signal. The signal amplifier outputs an amplified output signal by amplifying the first noise-filtered output signal. The second noise filter performs second noise filtering of the amplified output signal to reduce distortion on the amplified output signal and then generates a second noise-filtered amplified output signal. The ADC converts the second noise-filtered amplified output signal into a digital output signal.
