The present invention relates to a sterilizing humidifier provided with an ultraviolet ray-emitting diode module and a sterilizing method using thereof. The sterilizing humidifier provided with an ultraviolet ray-emitting diode module of the present invention comprises: a main body; a storage unit installed on the upper part of the main body to store water and have a through-hole on the lower part; an ultraviolet ray-emitting diode module installed inside the storage unit and provide with ultraviolet ray-emitting diode chip to sterilize water stored in the storage unit by emitting ultraviolet ray in a specific domain; a water pipe to transport water stored in the storage unit by being connected with the through-hole formed in the storage unit; a hot wire winding around the water pipe to heat water transported by the water pipe; a water containing chamber having an open hole formed on the lower connected with the water pipe to contain water transported by the water pipe; an ultrasonic wave-generating unit installed inside the water containing chamber to decompose water contained in the water containing chamber into fine particles; a discharging unit connected with the upper part of the water containing chamber to discharge fine particles decomposed in the ultrasonic wave-generating unit; a forced draft fan connected with one side of the discharging unit to supply external air capable of discharging with fine particles discharged through the discharging unit; and a power supply unit installed outside the main body to be supplied with power of an external source to supply power to the ultraviolet ray-emitting diode module, the hot wire, the ultrasonic wave-generating unit and the forced draft fan. Through this, the present invention emits ultraviolet ray to the water stored in the humidifier before discharging water of the humidifier, thereby killing germs or inhibiting growth of the germs contained in the water, thus discharging water harmless to the human body. |
