The present invention relates to a point accumulation system and a point accumulation method using a mobile terminal which accumulate points of a member store by using the mobile terminal. The point accumulation system of the present invention includes: a first tag storing inherent information of a member store as being installed in the member store; a second tag storing inherent information of a seller of the member store as being installed in the member store; a mobile terminal which is installed with a dedicated application for point accumulation, and acquires the inherent information of the member store and the inherent information of the seller stored in the first tag and the second tag and then transmits the inherent information of the member store and the seller together with inherent information of a purchaser through wireless communication if the application is executed and tagged to the first tag and the second tag; a point accumulation server performing point accumulation about the purchaser by using the inherent information transmitted from the mobile terminal; a database storing inherent information per a number of member stores, sellers and purchasers and point accumulation information according to the multiple purchasers; and a communication network performing data wireless communication between the mobile terminal and the point accumulation server. The point accumulation server performs point accumulation by searching a purchaser corresponding to the inherent information of the purchaser in the database and updates the point accumulation information about the purchaser, if the inherent information of the seller is received from the mobile terminal tagging the second tag after a fixed time from the state that the inherent information of the member store is received from the mobile terminal tagging the first tag.
