The method involves performing a step of detection of an intercalated sequence (5.1), and performing calculation of standard deviation (5.3) of spectral components of a set of pixels of an image according to the sequence. A signature of the image is provided (5.6) according to the sequence. An intermediate detection of another intercalated sequence (5.7) is performed. The signature is utilized according to the intercalated sequence whose standard deviation is higher than a predetermined threshold based on signature characteristics of the program diffused between two intermediate sequences.
