The present invention relates to a hoe operated by electric power for eliminating weeds grown between crops or furrows to prevent the growth of the weeds, thereby improving a working environment and enhancing work efficiency. According to the present invention, the hoe operated by electric power includes a main body provided with a front wheel and a rear wheel; a rotor assembly which is rotatably joined to the main body; a hoe blade unit installed in the rotor assembly and rotating with the rotor assembly; an engine fixed on the main body; and a driving power transmission unit which connects the engine and a shaft of the rotor assembly to transmit the driving power of the engine to the rotor assembly. The hoe blade unit moves straight by a certain distance when a blade goes into the ground, and reciprocates along a curve when the blade comes out of the ground. |
