Disclosed is the use of a protein in the prevention, control or fight against fungi and Oomycetes, pathogenic or not, plagues caused by insects, or as plant growth promoter and fertilizer, wherein said protein is applied to a plant and is characterized by: (a) the sequence of amino acid residues presented in (B); 5’RRQRNPYHFS SQRFQTLYKN RNGKIRVLER FDQRTNRLEN LQNYRIVEFQ SKPNTLILPK HSDADYVLVV LNGRATITN NPDRRQAYNL EYGDALRIPA GSTSYILNPD DNQKLRVVKL AlPINNPGYF YDFYPSSTKD QQSYFSGFSR NTLEATFNTR YEEIQRIILG NED3’, or (b) the sequence of amino acid residues presented in (B), in which one or more amino acid residues are absent, have been substituted, added or modified, and the protein exhibits antifungal and anti-Oomycete activity, plant growth promoter activity and/or maintains its biological properties. Further disclosed is the use of the same protein to make a nutritional supplement.
