摘要 A liquid crystal display device and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent the lowering of a contrast ratio by generating a reference gradation voltage through a thermistor. In a liquid crystal panel(100), a pixel cell(110) is formed in a region defined by a plurality of data lines and gate lines. A power generator generates the driving power for the gradation voltage varied according to an ambient temperature of the liquid crystal panel. A reference gradation voltage generator generates a compensation power corresponding to the variation of the driving power for the gradation voltage and a plurality of reference gradation voltage with different level by voltage-distributing the driving power for the gradation voltage and the compensation power. A gradation voltage generator generates the plurality of gradation voltages with different levels corresponding to a total of gradation of the data signal by subdividing the reference gradation voltage. A data driver converts the data signal inputted by using the plurality of gradation voltages into an analog image signal and supplies the analog image signal to the data line. A gate driver successively operates the gate lines.
