The element (14) has an external skin (16) and interior lining (18) that is fixed at the external skin. A fixing support (20) is arranged for fixing of the protection element with a body part i.e. front door. The interior lining is made of two spaced portions (22). The two spaced portions are provided with adjacent edges (24), and are connected to each other by an S-shaped deformable unit (26) pertaining to the interior lining to allow a relative displacement of the adjacent edges.
