FIELD: construction.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is related to a rail for use in escalators, moving walkways and other transporting devices. The rail can contain a set of cables, acting as an extension limiter. The rail design reduces the cable bowing when exposed to strong bending forces. Configuration of the first and second thermoplastic layers in on-board portions of the rail may be chosen of such kind that provides reduction of tensile and bending stresses, thereby improving fatigue properties under the conditions of cyclic loads.
