PURPOSE: A method for biological treatment of carbon dioxide using sulfur oxidizing chemolithoautotrophs is provided to ensure high carbon dioxide fixation efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A method for fixing or converting carbon dioxide comprises a step of culturing barophilic sulfur-oxidizing chemolithoautotrophs of Sulfurimonas paralvinellae GO25 or Sulfurovum lithotrophicum 42BKT in a medium containing carbon dioxide. The pressure of a storage container is 10-200 pressure. The concentration of carbon dioxide in the medium is 5,000 ppm-200,000 ppm. |
