The present invention relates to a system and a method for treating liquefied gas. The system for treating liquefied gas includes a first liquefied gas supply line connected from a first liquefied gas storage tank to a demanding place; a cold and heat collecting heat exchanger installed on the first liquefied gas storage tank; a cold and heat collecting line connecting a first cold and heat storage tank storing a cold and heat medium and the cold and heat collecting heat exchanger; and a cold and heat using heat exchanger cooling evaporation gas by heat-exchanging the cold and heat medium discharged from the first cold and heat storage tank and the evaporation gas generated in a second liquefied gas storage tank installed in a vessel. The system and the method for treating the liquefied gas in accordance with the present invention can reduce system installation costs and operation costs by omitting compositions such as a compressor and an expander included in an existing evaporation gas reliquefaction device.
