FIELD: physics; geophysics.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used in geophysical field operations. Disclosed is a seismic shear wave generator. The generator employs an electromagnetic drive of a special design with radiators arranged at 90° to each other and at 45° to a radiating platform, successive operation of which enables radiation of differently directed seismic shear waves. Two radiators operate using one dead weight which is rigidly connected to a pressure plate and freely moves in the process recess of the electromagnetic drive.EFFECT: high efficiency of generating seismic shear waves.1 dwg
