PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably discharge drain water received by a drain pan provided between a plurality of divided heat exchangers.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes a heat pump type refrigerant circuit 4 which is formed by connecting a compressor 6, an usage-side heat exchanger 11 and a heat-source-side heat exchanger 8 by a refrigerant pipe, and defrost means which performs a defrost operation for the heat-source-side heat exchanger 8. The heat-source-side heat exchanger 8 is constituted of a plurality of divided heat exchangers 17a to 17c juxtaposed in the vertical direction. Drain pans 37 for receiving and discharging drain water are provided between the divided heat exchangers 17a to 17c arranged adjacently in the vertical direction.A drainage 55 for discharging the drain water downwardly is connected to the drain pans 37. A refrigerant pipe 83a for fluidizing a high-pressure refrigerant sent from the usage-side heat exchanger 11 during a heating operation and/or defrost operation, or a refrigerant discharged from the compressor 6 is inserted to the inside of the drainage 55. |
