PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify, when a print is included whose output contents happen to be similar to that of the other print among a plurality of prints waiting for their output, a user who is outputting by a printer of what the print is in order to suppress waste prints.SOLUTION: A printer has following means for: acquiring from a print server, list information of print job information including print data accumulated in a spool area and displaying it on a display part of the printer; accepting specification of specific print job information in the acquired list information by selection of a user; accepting an execution instruction for executing printing of the specified specific print job information by the printer; and when it is determined that similar print job information is managed in a similar table in response to the specification of the specific print job information and the acceptance of the execution instruction, not instructing the print server to start the transmission but respectively displaying the specified specific print job information and the print job information similar to the specific print job information extracted by reference on the display part separately.
