PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging optical system and an imaging device that are capable of accurately variably controlling a cutoff frequency of an optical low-pass filter with a simple structure and control system.SOLUTION: There is provide an imaging optical system comprising: an optical low-pass filter that separates and non-parallelly emits incident light; an image sensor; and distance adjustment means that varies a relative distance between the optical low-pass filter and the image sensor, or an imaging device having the imaging optical system.
