PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver enabling a viewer to grasp the display timing of subsequent caption text data even in such a situation that the caption text data subsequent to preceding caption text data cannot be displayed as a caption text at designated timing, when caption texts are scroll displayed at a constant speed.SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver includes an acquisition unit for acquiring a caption text, and a display control unit for converting the caption text into an image to scroll display on a screen. If a time to display caption text data (45-2) subsequent to preceding caption text data (45-1) arrives before the scroll display of the preceding caption text data (45-1) is completed as a caption text, the display control unit displays a mark image (50) on the screen in order to notify the viewer of the existence of the subsequent caption text data (45-2). |
