PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel methods and compositions for the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).SOLUTION: This invention provides a method for diagnosing whether a subject is suffering from, or is at risk for developing chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B-CLL), the method comprising measuring the level of at least one miR gene product in a test sample from the subject. In the method, an alteration in the level of the miR gene product in the test sample relative to the level of a corresponding miR gene product in a control sample indicates that the subject is suffering from, or is at risk for developing B-CLL. |
