The present invention relates to a manufacturing method of an antistatic polyester film, and a polarizing plate protective film manufactured by the antistatic polyester film. The manufacturing method of the antistatic polyester film of the present invention prepares a polyester film by orienting the polyester film as a first shaft in a film progressing direction; forms an antistatic layer by spreading an antistatic coating composite containing a conductive polymer resin on one side or both sides of the polyester film using an in-line coating method; and orients the polyester film in which the antistatic layer is formed again as a fivefold or sextuple orientation ratio in a vertical direction of the film progressing direction and thermally processes the polyester film. The antistatic polyester film manufacture thereby prevents the deviation of antistatic properties between widths due to a characteristic of a conductive polymer which is reformed into a particle size, in which average diameter is 60 nm or smaller; minimizes an interference non-uniform phenomenon of light by optimizing the orientation ratio in the transverse orientation and controlling an orientation angle of the whole width into 10°C or lower; and executes a precise test with a cross nicol of a polarizing plate, thereby being practically used as the polarizing plate protective film.
