摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for manufacturing an optical display device through sequentially peeling off a plurality of optical film sheets continuously held with an adhesive layer by a long web-like carrier film, and adhering on a panel member.SOLUTION: After completion of adhesion of a preceding optical film sheet and a panel member, there is started an operation of taking up a carrier film with a reverse face thereof folded back inward at an apex serving as a tip of the peeling body and wound around the peeling body. Thereby a tip of the optical film sheet supported by the carrier film is optimally positioned at a tip detection position defined between the apex of the peeling body and a prescribed adhesion position. Next, the tip of the optical film sheet is read, and by an operation of taking up the carrier film according to the positional information, the panel member is carried to the tip of the optical film sheet revealing a leading section from the apex of the peeling body, and the optical film sheet is adhered on one side of the panel member, so that an optical display device is manufactured.
