PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical device having a long life by applying proper pressure to a group of positive and negative electrodes in a case of the electrochemical device.SOLUTION: Disclosed is an electrochemical device which is housed in a case and repeatedly occludes and emits lithium ions by infiltrating or immersing an organic electrolyte into an electrode group formed by being wound or laminated between a positive electrode and a negative electrode via a separator. The separator is made of a woven fabric or a non-woven fabric. A pressure of 0.3 to 1.1 kgf/cmis applied onto the main surface of the electrode group.
